Peter J. Adams was born on April 28, 1929 in
Breslau, Germany. His family left Germany in 1933 and ultimately
emigrated to the US in 1939, settling in Saginaw, Michigan. He completed
high school in Saginaw and went on to The University of Michigan to

the Wickes Boiler Company provided the interest in boiler engineering
which he maintained throughout his career. Employers included The
Babcock and Wilcox Company, Combustion Engineering, Inc. (Alstom) and
Foster Wheeler Corp. in various US locations. He was transferred to
Foster Wheeler Limited in 1974 where he retired as Vice President in
1992. Mr. Adams was a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario as
well as many of the states, a life member of ASME and held a number of
patents. Mr. Adams married
Ann Arbogast (deceased 1976) in 1954 and together they had four
children, Carolyn Adams- Price, John M. Adams, Paul R. Adams and Susan
J. Adams as well as six grandchildren. In 1979 he married Carol G. Adams
